LIS Instruction Needs Survey
Posted by: Rebecca Vnuk
Steven Hofman from ALA Publishing has sent me a link to a short survey being conducted by the staff of Guide to Reference. They are surveying LIS professors who teach reference courses to better understand instruction needs and how the Guide can be used most effectively in LIS programs. To participate in the survey, go here.
Guide to Reference is the the 12th, wholly online edition of Guide to Reference Books, which most librarians will remember from their school days. Earlier this year, I interviewed General Editor Robert Kieft about some of the challenges of taking this venerable tool online. LIS instructors and their students can have free access to Guide to Reference if they’re using it in courses. If you’re interested, send an e-mail to guidetoreference.org.
