With Thanksgiving looming on the horizon and the first of several upcoming holidays, here is an overview of several sources for cooking help and inspiration.

New York Times food writer Mark Bittman covers 101 Head Starts on the Day, a cornucopia of ideas for getting ahead.

Epicurious, one of the web’s premier food and recipe sites, has gathered together their Thanksgiving tips at Thanksgiving 101, a collection of recipes, how to videos, and party planning tips.

For last minute turkey help, American Public Media’s public radio program Splendid Table will be hosting a 2 hour call in special starting at 11 am EST, Turkey Confidential.  Lynne Rossetto Kasper will be giving cooking tips and answering listeners calls and emails during those crucial hours before dinner goes on the table.

And as has been traditional for the last 29 years, Butterball will be hosting its popular Turkey Talk Line, a toll free phone call or email for cooks in need of turkey help.  The Turkey Talk Line is available throughout November and December.
