Best Health Sites

As librarians and experts weigh in with their annual best lists, the Consumer and Patient Health Information Section (CAPHIS) of the Medical Library Association presents its annual update of the Top 100 Health Web Sites You Can Trust. These sites have been chosen and evaluated by medical librarians using criteria established by the Health Summit Working Group. These criteria include: credibility, sponsorship/authorship, content, audience, currency, disclosure, purpose, links, design, interactivity, and caveats. There are sites dealing with general health, men’s health, women’s health, children and parenting, specific health problems, drug information, senior health, and other useful health information. You can find it all at www.caphis.mlanet.org. Use it next time you need health information.
