Web Site of the Week: webdesignerdepot.com/how to find anything online
Posted by: Christine Bulson

As I was about to write the “Web Site of the Week,” I checked Points of Reference,  and saw Sue Polanka’s entry of today, “How Do Today’s Students Research?”   “How to Find Anything Online:  Become an Internet Research Expert”  from webdesignerdepot.com may be used by high school students and undergraduates in their online research.  In this rather long (for an internet site) instructional guide,  the author did suggest some online sources that a librarian might recommend – Wikipedia, Google, free educational resources and specialized web sites. However,  there was only one reference to “your library.”  That was in a discussion of Zotero, whose slogan is “See it, Save it, Sort it, Cite it.”  I would be interested in hearing if you have used  ”How to Find Anything Online,” and if you haven’t,  what you think of it.
