Posted by: Christine Bulson
With the Super Bowl today, some fans are thinking about the odds of who will win. A new web site of 2009, bookofodds.com, is advertised as the first source on the odds of anything. What about the odds of a cow having its’ hide in the Super Bowl? There is an explanation of the method used to determine that the odds are 1 in 17,420,000 which in comparison is about the same odds as a person will be diagnosed with the plague in a year. On a more serious note, the odds of a person being involved in a plane crash in a year are 1 in 10,790,000. Search possibilities are by keyword, broad topic or by the specific odds. This is an entertaining and fun site that will be popular with students of any age.
