Web Site of the Week: Studentpulse.com

For academic librarians the college year is over but now comes summer school. Studentpulse.com , an online academic student journal, is a useful tool for any college student who writes papers. Dustin Turin, a student a Northestern University in Boston, founded studentpulse last year. He invites students to submit papers which are read by Turin and two other student editors. Over 200 papers have been published with a modest payment to the author. A student can explore by topic or search by a specific subject. There is a disscussion about plagiarizing and the user is warned that Turnitin.com or a google search will find even a phrase from a paper. Studentpulse will give students ideas for research papers in addition to providing examples of form, bibliography and works cited.
