Reference Programs at Annual

If you plan to attend the annual conference in D.C. next week, these programs offered by CODES,  the Collection Development and Evaluation Section of RUSA (Reference and User Services Division),will be of interest.

The A-Z of Electronic Reference Product Development on Saturday June 26th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. will feature Mike Hermann from Greenwood, Rolf Janke from Sage, Frank Menchach from Gale/Cengage, and Kevin Ohe from ABC-Clio talking about how the develop electronic products suited to the needs of librarians and patrons. Convention Center 147B

On Saturday June 26th from 10:30 A.M. to Noon the CODES/RSS Dual Assignments Discussion Group will give you an opportunity to meet with peers and discuss the changes in selection, promotion, and use of reference collections. Beacon Hotel Overlook Room.

The Materials Reviewing Committee has created a Reference Book Reviewing Checklist and posted it on ALA Connect-no login required. Budding reviewers will find it helpful as they evaluate sources.
