Web Site of the Week: Washington.org
Posted by: Christine Bulson
If you are one of the many librarians traveling to our nation's capitol next week, Washington.org, the official tourism site of the city, will help you get the most out of your time outside the convention center. The first page lists what is hot in Washington (other than the weather) including "100 Free (and almost free) Things to Do in DC." The interactive map is great since you can search by what to do, where to eat, where to shop, attractions, entertainment and how to go. The events calendar is helpful if you want to find a sporting, musical, dance or special event at the Smithsonian. Have a great time, safe travels and maybe I will see you there!
