Sue Writes the Book on E-Books

As regular Points of Reference and Reference Books Bulletin readers know, POR blogger Sue Polanka also writes No Shelf Required, a blog about e-books. Now she shares her expertise in a more traditional format–her book No Shelf Required: E-Books in Libraries was recently published by ALA Editions. In it, a wide range of contributors offer chapters on e-book history, the use of e-books in different kinds of libraries, acquisition and management, standards and practices, publishing, and more. Sue is really carving a space for herself as an expert on digital content, and earlier this year No Shelf Required (the blog, that is) was awarded first place in the Academic Blogs category by the Salem Press Library Blog Awards.
