Web Site of the Week: FEMA.gov
Posted by: Christine Bulson

FEMA.gov (Federal Emergency Management Agency) has been in the news in the eastern US during the last week.  First there was the earthquake in Virginia which was felt  along the coast from Georgia to Massachusetts.  Then over the weekend hurricane Irene came up the coast devastating towns and cities in New Jersey, New York and Vermont.  The FEMA website home page asks the questions are you prepared or are you a disaster survivor.  The preparation link lists all types of disasters from biological threats to wildfires with preparation step by step. The survivor section again has a step by step guide for assistance with specific state disaster pages.  A third link provides updates and ongoing activities that are now all centered on the recovery from hurricane Irene.
