Web Site of the Week: Butterball.com
Posted by: Christine Bulson

With Thankgiving on Thursday no doubt there are a few nervous cooks who have NEVER COOKED A TURKEY!  If you know of someone who needs assistance, Butterball.com is the site.  First there is the Holiday Planning Guide - fresh or frozen turkey, how long to thaw, how many pounds, the method of cooking, how long to cook, how do you know when it is done?  Of course there are recipes for Thanksgiving favorites and  the ads for Butterball products including coupons for Mrs. Smith's and Edwards pies.  And if all else fails there is the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line (1-800-288-8372) which is open on Thanksgiving from 8am to 8pm CST.  Someone in my family called a few years ago to find out why the white meat was gray.  Did someone baste the turkey with red wine???  It was moist and delicious if you didn't notice the gray!
