Credo Reference adds Marshall Cavendish Titles
Posted by: Sue Polanka

Credo Reference has a number of publisher collections which feature the titles from an individual publisher.  They are available for purchase or subscription in Credo, but are generally not part of the Credo General Reference collection.  Credo just announced a new collection from Marshall Cavendish – 9 titles/70 volumes.  Here is more from the press release:

Credo Reference, recently named “Best Overall” Reference Database 2012 by Library Journal, announces a new partnership with Marshall Cavendish, the premier publisher of nonfiction series, children’s books, and a wide array of award-winning reference titles.

The Marshall Cavendish Collection, available in 2012, will join 38 existing Credo Publisher Collections. This collection, consisting of nine titles totaling more than 70 volumes, provides a rich depth of global perspectives and historical contexts to users. The World and Its Peoples series of illustrated multi-volume encyclopedias covers geographical, economic, political, and cultural information continent-by-continent to present pictures of daily life worldwide. The collection also includes engaging content  that takes users backwards in time to Ancient Egypt and the Near East, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, and the realm of Gods, Goddesses, and Mythology.
The Marshall Cavendish Collection will be available for perpetual purchase or subscription, stand-alone, or alongside a subscription to Credo General Reference. All content is fully indexed, cross-referenced, and integrated into the Credo platform by cutting-edge technology that links users to further library resources and helps students discover new tools for learning.
